Wrestlers (Aidan Kennedy, David Elkin, Trevor Scott) is a constantly evolving pop outfit from Texas. Originally making house oriented dance music featuring a wide array of collaborators (Shy Girls, Jesse Boykins III, and Twin Shadow) the band has grown their sound outward drawing new influence from a wide range of styles including rare-groove, disco, and yacht rock. With a focus on live instrumentation, the songs found on the band’s eponymous EP represent a culmination of the band’s previous two years of sonic exploration. From Caught in the Middle’s charging groove to the blissed-out funk of Deadline, there’s a path to the dance floor on every track.
