About
Born in Colombia and raised in Miami from the age of 11, Thunderpony’s story is deeply tied to the city’s underground. Music was always in his blood—introduced early on by his mother through a steady diet of rock ‘n’ roll before he fell headfirst into electronic music in the early 2000s. Influenced by legends like Tiësto, Mauro Picotto, Timo Maas, Richie Hawtin, and Armin van Buuren, he developed an obsession with dance music’s hypnotic pull. By the late 2000s, that passion turned into a lifestyle—learning to DJ at local house parties with the goal of opening ears to house music. Mixing classics from icons like Erick Morillo with fresh sounds from Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, and Seth Troxler, Thunderpony quickly became a familiar name in Miami’s emerging scene. That same energy led him to co-found Miami Rebels alongside his college best friends, which would later evolve into LinkMiamiRebels—one of the most influential promoter crews in the city, shaping nightlife through residencies at iconic venues like Treehouse, Trade, Story, Factory Town, and the Electric Pickle. The mid-2010s brought his ultimate dream to life: becoming a resident at the legendary Club Space. Since then, Thunderpony has helmed the booth nearly every weekend, guiding late night, sunrise and sunset sets with his deep, minimal, and tech-driven grooves. His reputation has extended far beyond Miami, with appearances at world-renowned festivals including III Points, EDC Las Vegas, and Sonus Croatia—and as a regular in cities like Orlando, Tampa, New York, Bogotá, and Medellín.
