September Mourning

September Mourning is a dark culture transmedia project which is based on a graphic novel (Published through Top Cow/Image Comics) created by singer, Emily Lazar (September) and comic legend Marc Silvestri (Batman, The Darkness, Witchblade).The band brings the world of the books to life on stage by playing the characters. They have toured & opened festivals for Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot and others in Europe, Canada and the United States, as well as Comic Cons and Anime Festivals. September Mourning has been featured on radio stations across the United States and Europe as well as the Satellite station, Sirius Octane. Emily Lazar is a multi-disciplinary artist fronting the rock/metal transmedia project, September Mourning, who made history as the first female metal/ hard rock musician to mint and sell an NFT. She currently has well over 3000 collectors across 11 platforms. In 2023 Emily was selected alongside noteworthy musicians and artists like Snoop Dogg, Beeple, Pussy Riot, Fvckrender and more to be featured in the documentary “NFT WTF” which is airing on Netflix UK now. She was also a selected recipient of the Avalanche Avaissance Grant. In the summer of 2024 and 2025, Web 3 giants Kraken and Gala Music provided tour support.
