Sarab

Led by Franco-Syrian singer Climène Zarkan and guitarist Baptiste Ferrandis, the band Sarāb forges a path between post-punk chaos and Arabic poetry. The band returns in early 2026 with a devastating new album, Mīt Warde – Cent roses (One Hundred Roses). To the ear: a visceral sonic odyssey, where surges of pure rock and techno sounds mingle with politically charged lyrics, intimate acoustic tributes to the victims of war. On stage: raw energy, an incantatory voice, maqams, analog synths, and rhythms that verge on breaking. After more than 100 concerts in Europe, Canada and Morocco, Sarāb (“mirage” in Arabic) embraces its rock turn while retaining a hybrid identity, somewhere between the autotune of Rosalía, and the militant riffs of Rage Against The Machine.
