About
Rebecca Folsom was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. If you’ve been there, you know the magical pulse that beats within this town nestled at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. At a young age, Rebecca spent a lot of time running trails and writing songs amongst pines and aspens–capturing inspiration from the natural and mystical world. When you hear Rebecca’s voice, with its earthy resonance and sparks of color and light, you feel a divine energy stirring beneath the surface: it’s achingly beautiful. Her music glides from tender to powerful, moving from lilting ballads to knock-you-to-your-knees blues. With her near four-octave range, Rebecca transports and uplifts listeners to a vocal landscape with a greater view. Her words offer both hope and liberation in a heart-felt way that make you yearn for more of this mountain girl. Rebecca has been writing and performing professionally for over 20 years and has played on BBC television/radio, Red Rocks Amphitheater in CO, The Bluebird and Opryland in Nashville, TN, and numerous festivals nationwide. She has released 12 albums, 2 books of poetry, and numerous paintings of fine art. Her latest album, “Extraordinary Days” debuted with the song, “Better Times” hitting Number 1 on the National Folk Radio DJ Chart and spending 5 months on the Top 50 National Americana Country Radio Chart. Rebecca is part grounded Zen, part fiery red head. She brings a hauntingly sumptuous voice to the Folk Americana scene that warms hearts. <br>
