A critical and cultural breakthrough, Blak Britney became a powerful anthem that hit #1 on triple j, featured in Netflix’s Heartbreak High, and earned three ARIA nominations, including Best Independent Release. She made history as the first independent Aboriginal woman to be nominated for an ARIA for a debut single. Her EP, KANINNA, arrived to critical acclaim with sold out shows across the country. The record went on to win Best Independent Hip-Hip EP/Album at the 2025 AIR Australian Independent Music Awards where she also took home the award for Breakthrough Independent Artist of The Year.
