About
In his latest EP, De Melón, Rosales pays a heartfelt tribute to his Chicano heritage with a dynamic blend of bilingual vocals and lively percussion. With the merging of traditional bolero and soulful influences with modern sounds, De Melón explores the nuances of love in the digital age. This EP features collaborations with Grace Sorensen as well as Daniel Rosales. De Melón lead singles,“Crema” and “Flower Child”, received praise in Remezcla’s “New Songs to Listen to This Week.” The innovation of this project led to his South by Southwest debut this past year. A deluxe edition is slated for release in November, featuring a track recorded at Electric Deluxe Recorders, Adrian Quesada’s (of Black Pumas) studio. In Fall 2024, he’ll perform at Austin City Limits festival and embark on his first tour, joining San Francisco-based artist La Doña on her Texas run in November.
