Marie April is a Czech-American singer-songwriter, guitarist and violinist from Prague. Her involvement with music dates back to her earliest years, when out of curiosity she accompanied her father to his guitar lessons at a music school. The pre-school girl was then given an old violin from the basement, which drew the attention of the local violin teacher, who demanded that she start taking lessons. During her teenage years, she was involved in a number of small bands and began writing her own music. Marie loves rock, jazz and soul, r&b and alternative sounds. Her biggest inspiration are artists such as Adele, Labrinth, Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean and Dijon.
