About
Kodomo is the moniker of Emmy Award–winning composer and electronic music producer Chris Child. His work is defined by melodic depth, deep sound design, and a cinematic fusion of ambient, techno, and ’90s IDM influences. In 2026, Kodomo released his sixth album Sisu, a deeply personal full-length work. The release followed a steady run of EPs and singles, including remix collaborations with Lusine, Rafael Anton Irisarri, and Black Light Smoke. Child has composed music for video games developed by Harmonix, including Rock Band, Amplitude, and Frequency, and his work has frequently been featured by NPR. He also contributed music to The Outlaw Ocean Music Project, a global initiative created by journalist Ian Urbina that brings together musicians from around the world to interpret investigative reporting through sound. In addition to his solo work, Child co-founded the artist-run label FOIL Imprints alongside Micah Frank, collaborating with artists such as Symbion Project, NRV, and Kodacrome while supporting forward-thinking electronic music across genres.
