Budapest (Hungary) based 12-piece band Hakumba fuse jazz, afrobeat and world music into high energy live performances featuring eclectic horn arrangements, dense percussive grooves and captivating vocal and instrumental virtuosity. Following their 2023 debut album “Véletlen volt, nem direkt” and subsequent EP and single releases, Hakumba dropped their 2024 album, a concentrated afrobeat-fusion project called “Message” consisting of 7 exciting new tracks, which is also available on vinyl. In the past few years you could regularly see them perform outside of Hungary, on various European festivals and showcases like SXSW London, PIN Music Showcase, Mumush, Goulash Disco, and many more. While working on their upcoming singles and EP Hakumba is preparing for their first tour overseas to bring their ecstatic high energy music to Australia.
