DJ KOO. Born August 8 in Tokyo. Guinness World Record holder. DJ KOO is leader of the Japanese dance and vocal group “TRF”, DJ, and Japan’s foremost party king! And he’s Mr. Bon Festival dance! Sales of TRF CDs exceed 21 million in total, and their songs continue to be loved by many as the best songs for livening up parties.   DJ KOO has also teamed up with creative Japanese traditional dance artist Ukon Takafuji to form “UKOON”, an energetic festival entertainment unit that aims to spread Japanese cultural festivals (o-matsuri) and the Bon Festival dance (bon odori) across the world! This unit is fully active right now. At the 69th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen show held in 2018, DJ KOO participated in the winning of the Guinness World Record for consecutive kendama ball catches on the big cup of the toy. This new record was 124 consecutive people. In 2018, the 25th anniversary of TRF’s debut, DJ KOO collaborated with popular Malaysian artist and Youtuber Namewee on the song “BOY MEETS GIRL 2020”.
