Co Lee

With his relentless honesty and visceral on-stage genius, Co Lee has, over the past few years, become one of the most essential and influential figures of the Hungarian music scene. Each concert translates his exceptionally diverse discography into a unique live experience defined by unparalleled musicality. His innovative linguistic, musical, and production choices—for instance, presenting his latest album, Gadara, while standing atop a mountain built inside Müpa’s Grand Hall—continually expand the horizons of Hungarian performing arts. His band, composed of some of the most outstanding figures in Hungarian music—Ádi Klausz, András Kálmán, Dani Varga, Matyi Doór, Aminon, and Indigo—grew even further in the summer of 2025. On the Sziget Festival’s Revolut stage, their Big Band formation introduced an ethereal sound featuring a London-based vocal trio and Austrian Hammond organ phenomenon Raphael Wressnig. As one of the highest-quality live acts in the country, the Co Lee Live Band has repeatedly provento attract and captivate audiences at Hungary’s most prestigious festivals and largest stages. In 2023, Co Lee’s first Hungarian-language album, Cirque de L'Homme, featuring Beton.Hofi, Kolibri, and gyuris, became an instant gold record upon release. This was followed in spring 2024 by PROGRAM, co-written with Matyi Doór. His third Hungarian-language LP, La Promenade—created in collaboration with Blaize—was released in September 2024 to widespread critical acclaim, quickly achieving gold record status as well. The album and its unique concert-show debuted with a sold-out double album release at Akvárium’s main hall.In 2025, La Promenade won the Fonogram – Hungarian Music Award for Best Domestic Rap/Hip-Hop Album or Recording of the Year, and also received the WMMD Digital Music Award for “Release Strategy Best Practice.” He is currently working on the Hungarian-language continuation of his English lo-fi hip-hop album Air, expected to be released in spring 2026.
