Closet Yi

Hailing from the vibrant streets of Seoul, Closet Yi crafts an electrifying blend of house, techno, and bass music with her unique craftsmanship. With standout releases like “Wire Broke” from Hotflush Recordings and “Point of Hue” from Honey Badger Records, she remains a defining figure of the contemporary Seoul dance music scene, earning recognition from stages such as Lost Village Festival, Village Underground, Radio Radio Amsterdam, Minh Hongkong, and Vent Tokyo. After her Boiler Room debut alongside Anz, Mogwaa, and DJ Sharda, and wrapping up 2022 with Apple Music’s global NYE 2023 DJ Mix, Closet Yi continued to push her sound further as part of Beatport Next’s Class of 2023. Growing up surrounded by electronically infused game soundtracks, she developed her signature eclecticism — reflected in releases on Clasico, Hotflush, Curving Tracks, Silkroad Sounds, and collaborations with NTS, MixMag, Rinse FM, DJ Mag, Sunnei, Aesop. Now in 2026, she’s gearing up for a new release under her own independent imprint, Otheroom Records, set to launch in March 2026, further asserting her vision and artistic independence while continuing to redraw the boundaries of club culture and sound design.
