About
Benjamin Koll is a Spanish-born singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, filmmaker and visual artist based in Mexico. His professional career in music began in 1983, first in radio and as a DJ, followed by more than three decades working across recording, production, remixing and the music industry before launching his recording career under his own name in 2015. Koll’s work draws from soul, house, disco, funk, R&B and electronic music, combining dancefloor instinct with emotionally direct songwriting. Love, desire, connection, resilience and personal freedom recur throughout his catalog, which moves comfortably between celebration and introspection while maintaining an open, optimistic and distinctly human point of view. Since Songs For A Better Future (2017), his albums have documented an increasingly personal body of work, including All Systems Go (2020), Once In A Lifetime (2021), Osito (2022), 8 Days in A Bear’s Life (2023) and Dance Love Dream (2025). His songs frequently extend beyond their original recordings through remixes, alternate versions and reinterpretations, reflecting his long relationship with club culture. Music is only one part of Koll’s creative practice. He conceives and directs much of the visual world surrounding his work, using film, photography, design and storytelling as extensions of the songs themselves. Together, they form an evolving body of work centered on a simple idea: music can make us move without asking us to stop feeling.
