Banchan is the new alias of Chicago-born DJ and producer Matthias Mehrpuyan. Inspired by his Korean roots—banchan means side dishes—his music delivers flavor-packed tracks built for dancefloors. After nearly two decades behind the decks and years releasing under other names, he launched Banchan to mark a new era: hardware-driven, percussive, and focused on DJ-ready cuts. Now based between Europe and the U.S., he runs his own label, Street Food Records.
