Amy Speace

Heralded by Rolling Stone and NPR’s “Weekend Edition,” Amy Speace was discovered by Judy Collins, who signed her to her record label Wildflower Records in 2006, releasing her debut "Songs For Bright Street," which introduced Amy to folk and Americana audiences worldwide. She moved from NYC to Nashville in 2009, signing with Thirty Tigers Records and releasing two records. With her Shakespearean themed album "How To Sleep in a Stormy Boat," she landed on NPR's Weekend Edition. Since then, she has released 10 albums, most of which have topped the US Folk Charts and received widespread critical acclaim from The New York Times' Jon Pareles, to Billboard and Rollings Stone and Mojo Magazine. She’s the 2020 winner of the AMA UK’s International Song of the Year. She was 1/3 of the acclaimed folk trio Applewood Road with an eponymous release on Gearbox Records in 2016. Her songs have been recorded by Judy Collins, Memphis Blues Hall of Fame artist Sid Selvidge, Red Molly, Christine Lavin and many others. Her forthcoming debut collection of poetry will be published by Red Hen Press on September 1, 2026. She holds an MFA in poetry from Spalding University and teaches workshops in songwriting and performance.
